In biblical glimpses from Eden to eternity, our maker has revealed Himself as one who desires fellowship with His creation. The 2016 theme will be:Celebrating the Tabernacling (Dwelling) of God with Humanity, Past, Present, and Future”.

God sojourned with His people in the wilderness.

"And I will dwell (tabernacle) among the children of Israel, and will be their God.  And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them." (Exodus 29:45-46)

God became man and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus.

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (Matthew 1:23)

"And the word was made flesh, and dwelt (tabernacled) among us." (John 1:14)

God dwells in us now through His Holy Spirit, which takes up residence within us.

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (I Corinthians 3:16)

Soon Jesus Christ will return, bind Satan, and usher in the Kingdom here on earth.  Ultimately God the Father will descend from heaven with the holy city, New Jerusalem, as depicted by the Last Great Day.
"Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then He who sat on the throne said, 'Behold,   I make all things new.'" (Revelation 21:3-5)
